I haven't made a journal entry since my dad died in October and I've hardly been here at all since then.  How is everybody??  I hardly know how to rejoin the community...  Are groups really cool, or what? I've been working really hard and making progress with my photography business, but I would like to join this community again, even if it has to be on a limited scale.  I have missed being here and I miss the way life used to be, but things change and we need to adapt or die.  I choose to adapt. I'll try to come around and say Hi! to all my friends, but with thousands of deviations and messages I think I'm just going to have to wipe the sl

I won't be back for a while, but I will be back -- this is my refuge, my home, my place to enjoy life. The funeral is Tuesday -- this shouldn't have happened and I am not doing well, but I will get through it. I am sorry to be away from here to the extent that I am -- this isn't the way I thought things would go.  I'll be away a bit longer and I wanted to let all of you know I haven't "jumped ship" or abandoned you, or dA; I've just got higher priorities at the moment.  My father is now in a nursing home to help him recover from surgery but I fear he will not come home at all.  As his primary care giver, I am beside myself -- things are pretty crappy. I'll be back when I can - I just thought it would be nice to let you guys know I come here about once a day and remember how good my life was when I had time to contribute to this community.  If ther
